Thabiso holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Memorial of Newfoundland in Canada. He is CEO of The Don Group, a JSE-listed company which is also South Africa’s largest suite hotel group. He is a Director of Basil Read Group, Founder, Director of Amabubesi Investments (Pty) Ltd, Director, Shareholder of Sobita Investments (Pty) Ltd, former Chairman Freestate Premier Economic Advisory Council, former Chairman of Tourism Business Council of South Africa. He is also the owner of Lengau Hotel in Bloemfontein and of Lakeside and Victoria Hotels in Maseru. He won the Special Freestate Premier Excellence Award in 2008 and was the Bloemfontainer of the year nominee in 2002. The Don was voted 2nd place in the Top Empowerment Company Awards by Financial Mail in 2006,
