EC Government pours in millions to eradicate transportation challengesTransport problems in the eastern part of the province will soon be a thing of the past as the Eastern Cape government has invested millions rands in buses for a period of seven years. During phase 1, Road and Transport department will inject an amount of R43,3 million and the rest will come from a consortium of financiers, which comprises Scania Finance (R32 m), Industrial Development Corporation (R15.5 m), Development Bank of Southern Africa (R10 m), National Empowerment Fund (R3.5 m) and Eastern Cape Development Corporation (R2.5m).

if the idc and the nef is investing monies into transportation ,then why are they spectcal about investing in the battery business. it is ovious that the vehicles would need batteries to operate and the ones that come on the vehicles are not everlasting.
